In May 2011, St Helens celebrates 100 years of the De La Salle Brothers' presence in the town. The Brothers devote their life to living in faith, service and community whilst delivering the teachings of St John Baptist De La Salle, whose mission is "to provide a human, Christian education to the Young, especially the poor." People associated with this mission, in any form, are known as Lasallians and this very special Lasallian family is active all over the world.

Brother Alvaro comes to St Helens!
Brother Alvaro speaks to the young people during night prayer at the camp. He spoke of living within the values of faith, service and community and always remembering that we are a large family which extends right around the world. He urged the young people to look actively for ways in which they can help others and keep the lasallian spirit alive.
